Florida POAs may soon require notarization

HB 815/SB 670 adds a provision that POAs must be signed before two witnesses AND be acknowledged before a notary public. Although notarization has always been common for POAs, this law would make it a requirement. (And IMO, it should have already been a requirement).

Don't know if this link will work, but here goes:

It is Lines 206-209

(2) A power of attorney must be signed by the principal and
by two subscribing witnesses and be acknowledged by the
principal before a notary public or as otherwise provided in s.
695.03.

Yep, I also agree

With a doc as important as a POA, I suspect it would be easy to defraud a principal.
Subscribing witnesses are warranted, IMO.
