Response from NNA's EVP
We are still looking into this site. I have referred your concerns to our Chief Operating Officer, Mark Valera ([e-mail address]) who will be following up on this. We appreciate your alerting us to this website and your interest. Thank you. Debbie Thaw

Is this regarding the webcam notary company?

Texas Notaries don't need to worry, It is NOT legal in Texas. The signer MUST appear in person before the Notary.

Sid - Texas notaries DO need to worry.
There is not any boundary being put on where the webcam notary notarizes.
As the webcam site is working now, you can bet your bottom dollar that they are not turning down notary work from Texas. THAT affects us.

IOW, they just blew you off.. I'm not sure what they might be "following up on", and find it hard to believe they were unaware of this. Perhaps they're just trying to figure out how they can leverage this to make some more money.
Good for you for bringing it to their attention, Robert - let us know if you get any further response.

I'm actually thinking of stopping by their offices later this week, possibly next. I will be right down the street from their headquarters. It's harder to ignore somebody face-to-face.

Where are the located?
I looked at the website and noticed that the area code is the same as mine, but I couldn't find an address. Just curious. I might stop by too if they are close.

They're in Chatsworth, near at DeSoto and Plummer
9350 De Soto Avenue... they're in a huge building on the southeast corner of the intersection of DeSoto and Prairie, about a block south of Plummer. The sign out front isn't terribly large, but the parking lot out front is gigantic. Technically, I think you enter off of Prairie.
