Electric vehicles have a tax credit, FYI
"Every day that I see on the news that it's gone up over a hundred dollars a barrel, I cringe," James said. "That's coming out of our profit line."

Means higher prices for consumers--costs are added to price
of groceries, etc. I bought a Ford Escape Hybrid--gets 30+ mpg without sacrificing vehicle size. I like the hybrid technology, but didn't get a tax credit. Each year they only offer tax credits on certain models. grrrrr. This makes no sense to me. I would think every hybrid or electric vehicle should qualify for the tax credit, because the vehicles cost considerably more upfront.

I own a 12 year old American made vehicle with 180,000 miles, I get 37 mpg in town and 44 on the open road. No tax credit either...point is cars already exist with great mileage, just need to do your research.

Yes, I'm aware of that. I've been sticking to economy models since the 70's.
