Document's Jurat Lists Different State
If a document has a jurat with a different state (as many official state forms do), can I still notarize the document? For example, I am located in the District of Columbia and was brought a document that had the State of Missouri in the jurat. Can I just cross out State of Missouri and write District of Columbia? There was no room for a separate jurat.
Thank you.

Single line thru incorrect state, print correct state and initial. The notary section is your domain to know how to complete them. If you already havent done so, read and read again your notary laws (pamphlet) for your state. Know them cold until you start dreaming about them. Then come on here and start reading all you can. You need to know how to do this completely or else you may get tricked into doing something illegal cause you didnt know your states notary laws and that wouldnt be good.
Good Luck to You
