I'm looking for evaluations of FieldChoice from Notaries that have worked with them. They are located in Newport Beach, CA.

I did a signing and they paid on time but they shorted me $50.00. I email them and got no reply. I have called Petter got voice mail my first call and no call back. The 2nd time I called Peter he answered his phone. He said I needed to talk to his CO Paul. I called Paul and got voice mail and nothing yet He did not call me back. I will not work for them again.

That should answer your question. Hate the run around you get when trying to collect.

Well, I just did one for them two days ago. Hope I get paid when I am supposed to. Will post when it happens and then will add to SC - good or bad! P.S. They met my fee of $xxx.

Re: FieldChoice

Do not take closings from. Offered me $70 - got them to $85, but they paid me $70 anyway after 60 days. Not worth chasing them down for $15 bucks. Did not return my phone call or e-mail and forwarding them a copy of my invoice and their confirmation. They recently called for another closing - told them to take me off their list. Would never do business with them again. BTW, to add insult to injury, the "$85" back was over 150 pages.

Re: FieldChoice

I have done my share of what I consider free work for them at the $75.00 fee they offer. I completed maybe 6-8 orders for them. They did pay timely on most, I had to contact them on a couple that ran over 35 days. My issue with Field Choice and I have spoken with Ted Trapp regarding low fees and last minute arrival of docs. He states of course, it's not his fault, I tend to disagree a bit, I think he should speak with escrow and arrival of docs needs to be at least 2 hours prior to signing, at worst.
I simply cannot afford to work for them, the packets are easy enough but with printing costs, late arrival of docs on almost every order, I lose money by setting aside time for their appointments and waiting for docs. I simply prefer to work for higher fees and docs arriving in a more timely manner. The office staff is also very difficult to communicate with at times but never when they want you to accept an order, moody fussy agrumentative.
I got a called yesterday 1-25-12, I was driving and speaking on my Blue Tooth, the caller said the name so fast and instead of calling from one of the many numbers I have listed in my contacts for them, they are now calling with unknown appearing on my phone screen, had I seen Field Chioce I wouldn't have even bothered to pick up. Anyway I accepted the order and as soon as I was able to pull over and view the work order on my email I quickly called back and said I cannot accept this order, I no longer can provide service to Field Choice at the rate you pay and the troublesome arrival of docs at the last minute. The guy attempted to talk over me, argued nonstop as to why I should accept the order. He actual didn't listen at all. He than stated he has plenty of other notaries in that area and also stated he was a notary (like I care). I said well good than you shouldn't be calling me again. I hung up than. I mentioned I have spoken with Ted before regarding my complaints, according to Ted they only get $140 per loan, however it would appear we have a little contradiction because yesterday the caller said they only get $115 per loan, of course the HUD always disagrees....wink wink. I just feel I'm being taken full advantage of if I work for them, I'd simply rather sit home and read a book. If I accept a fee of $75, drive 40 miles round trip, hour to get there, hour to return, hour to sign, printing cost, wait 35 days for payment. Please be smart, how much money am I really making. Thanks but no thanks...I will continue to read my sexy romance novels rather than accept an order from them...wink wink

I was called to perform a signing. Before I stated my fee I asked if there were fax backs and was told no. So we agreed upon a fee. When I received the confirmation it stated fax backs were required. When I questioned this I was told they were required. So I said OK but I added a fee of $25 for the fax back service. I was then cancelled. Sounds like I got lucky after reading the other reviews.
