Paul wasn't just a person with a notary commission
Being a notary was a part of him. His notarial seal was am extension of him. He was the type of notary that I certainly have aspired to be, as we all should. He was respected in his community and brought dignity back to the office of Notary Public. Paul is not only a loss to this board, but a loss to the people of Florida and to the entire notary community. We are fortunate to have some bits and pieces of his vast knowledge permanently archived here on NR.
I hope with his passing all Florida notaries will step up to the plate to bring back the respect to our position. It starts with us. Paul, like myself, was passionate about being a notary and refused to degrade himself by dealing with scum sucking signing services. He had tried to work with lawmakers to reform notary law but never met with success. He wanted the best for notaries. I for one want us all to carry on this tradition.
RIP

God Rest His Soul
1 But now, thus says the LORD, who created you, O Jacob,
And He who formed you, O Israel:
“Fear not, for I have redeemed you;
I have called you by your name;
You are Mine.
2 When you pass through the waters, I will be with you;
And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you.
When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned,
Nor shall the flame scorch you.
3 For I am the LORD your God,
The Holy One of Israel, your Savior;
Isaiah 43:1-3

Paul was such an outstanding human being and friend to this community. His absence going forward is a significant loss for notaries every where. Yes, we have Paul's archived discussions in our forum, we are blessed indeed to have had his knowledge for so many years. Rest in peace, Paul. The beat goes on, but without you we'll work our hardest to follow in your foot steps to be the best notaries we can be, you gave us many tools to work with.
Many hearts are heavy with the news of your passing. You left many valuable footprints behind for us. With much gratitude, thank you, Paul.

Paul was an example to all of us. He had a wealth of knowledge to share and was always helpful to anyone who posted, always remaining professional, unbiased and drama-free. I truly valued his input and enjoyed reading his responses. He will be sorely missed here on Notary Rotary. My prayers go out to his wife and family. We all lost a 10 star Notary! <No, make that a 100 STAR NOTARY!!!>

I just reviewed of few emails from Paul over the last six months. I also noted in doing that, his father-in-law passed away back in January or February. That means his wife Ann just lost her father back in the early part of this year and now Paul.
Support, prayer and communication will help her but she has a tough road ahead to get through all this.

What a shock to logon tonight & see this news. It's a terrible loss to his wife & family, but also to the vast notary community that he helped so generously. I will certainly get with Brenda about the collection she's getting together. My thoughts & prayers go out to his family and friends, including Sylvia.
