HP printer all in one power failure problem
My HP 6310 keeps saying power failure and shutting down. It has done this a couple of time previously, but I could unplug it, wait, plug it in and all was fine. Now that doesn't work. Any suggestions?

Has your HP 6310 stopped working completely? If so, nothing will help except shipping it out for repair. Before doing that, unplug it, wait 30 minutes (not seconds, minutes), then plug it back in.
Do you have an Uninterruptable Power Supply (UPS)? It would help with power spikes, brownouts, etc. They're cheap insurance.
Maybe your printer is simply overheating. If your area is hot, a fan might help. There is probably an over-temperature cutoff device that is designed to keep the printer from being permanently damaged by operating when it is too hot.
As insulting as it may sound (and that's NOT my intention), are the plugs firmly inserted into the wall socket (or equivalent) and into the printer? A loose connection often masquerades as equipment failure....

Thanks for the suggestions. It has always been plugged into a protected grounded surge protector. Yes, it is firmly plugged in. I checked that also. The strange thing is, I got an update from HP to download something for the printer on my laptop, came up on the screen. I did the update. The update finished, except at the end, it stalled. After over 2 hours, I gave up and went to bed. The next day my printer did a few pages of something, then when I went to use it again, it has this flashing camera issue. It's like it's just dead in the water.
The kicker is I just ordered 6 cartridges from Overstock for it, and they arrived yesterday. That will really stink if they won't let me return them!

You might want to try calling HP technical support. Maybe there was a glitch in the software they sent to you. If that update had anything to do with it, you'd think they would want to help you out without charging for their service. Who knows? Sounds awfully coincidental to me that your problems started right after trying to load the upgrade. Or maybe the file got corrupted somehow?
