Well DIVA is my middle name, did I fail to mention this...?

Competition? If they can get that pay (or more) excellent, and more power to them!

Will this SS call me again, probably not, but at this point its not worth my salt to have trusted this company. Especially after breaking our written agreement to pay after funding, or at the very latest, two weeks out.

This signing service didn't hold up to their end of our written agreement, so all yours competition! And good luck!

Diva, he he.....totally today, and me thinks I'm a get a big ole' shirt with "DIVA HERE - WATCH OUT" to wear on days like these...

Thanks for the laugh...! =)

I have nothing but respect for Notary ASAP, LLC. I've worked for them for years with no payment issues, ever.

Posting like this may garner you the exact results you desire. Sorry, I don't think it was appropriate or very professional. These ladies work hard and are loyal vendors.

But I must say, I absolutely agree.

I did think that it was funny and quite ironic that Cari would have that perception of it though. Which is why I found it hysterical.

Well Cari did have hers in writing, so I suppose

there aren't too many of us out there that wouldn't be upset if their expectations (and the written word) were not met. I hate when people are dishonest (not saying anyone IS or isn't) with me. If a commitment is made on my end, I follow through and expect the same from others.

Unfortunately, that's not everyone else's ethics in this life. Many, many people let me down. It doesn't affect me any less, but I have learned to expect it. Yes, I am quite jaded...lol...life made me that way!!!

Again, I happen to like Notary ASAP, but I have to admit, I don't take issue if I receive payment 8 or so weeks out from any company. I'm grateful to get paid and not have to chase after my money.

Re: They paid $175? I Wouldn't Complain

I can't believe they paid $175, this is unheard of in this day and age. I personally wouldn't complain over late payment if they're willing to pay so much as long as they're legit. I certainly wouldn't go around writing such obscene messages on a forum after an agency paid me that kind of money for a signing, that's for sure.

It's a free country but that was a little uncalled for don't you think? You can vent in the review section of the agency. After all you did get your money and were well paid.

That's Cari...

Ya either love her, hate her or learn to love her.

We all have our ways of communicating and not all of us agree with each others. I happen to appreciate that someone has the audacity to "calls it like she see's it!" In no uncertain terms. Can it be offensive to some? Maybe, but I'm sure that's not truly her intention.

Many times, what she says I sit here and yell at the computer screen. So when she actually SAYS it, it cracks me the hell up! Many times when I send a sane reply it's only because I've walked away and asked for guidance on how to get my message across so that it will not be shocking and to "come from a loving place...lmao"

She "shoots from the hip". Whatareya gonna do? One thing you don't have to worry about is that you know where she stands...lmao! Gotta respect someone like that-or at least I DO!!!

All I know is I like to stay on her good side...ROFLMAO

I would, regardless of the amount they agreed to pay.

They did not pay "as agreed" (paying Net 75 or so verses Net 15). Just like credit cards and other companies that extend credit, I charge for late payments. Visa is not "grateful" when people pay their bills. The person entered into an agreement with them and they are expected to live up to it and pay as agreed.

When one fills up their gas tank at the service station they expect immediate payment (i.e. the agreed time frame) not 60 or 70+ days later. I used to know of two small stores that would extend credit for the locals. At the end of the month (or by X day of the following month) the bill was expected to be paid. When the bills were paid the store owners were not "grateful" (as some have described in this and other threads) if some took 2-3 months to pay their bills. In those cases, the people never received credit again from the store owners. This was 20+ years ago. It is what is expected in business.

While I might not have used the "offensive" word I can say that I have been frustrated by slow-to-no-paying companies that did not pay as agreed as well and I can understand how someone might "in the moment" use it in such a post.

To me, the offensive part is the SS that did not pay as agreed.

Rant...

I have to say, in re-reading some of my posts, yeah, a little ballsy, but let me put it this way.

If I take the time to post such "colorful" rants, its because I'm fed up with the BS and the run around I get from not getting paid the amount as agreed, to not getting paid at all, to getting paid 8 months after closing. POC means paid out of closing, but damn, not beyond 45 days?

Anywho, just to let you all know, that I'm still around. Work had NOT stopped for me for my posts here or anywhere else. I'm professional as one could be, even speak dang near perfect english, while cleverly disguising my puerto rican / cuban accent. BUT, piss me off, and BOOM BAM, its like I esploded (yes, typo on purpose) on da internet.

If I was running for office somewhere, then yeah, I'd be very worried about my rantings being forever listed on the world wide web, but I'm not. Soooo...

Well, happy reading...

From a signing service, maybe, but we have no idea what the nature of the signing was. For all we know, it could have been for two loans. From other hiring parties, however, that kind of a fee is not at all still unheard of - even in this day and age! Wink

Are we ALL professional ALL the time? How bout behind the wheel? Or standing in line? Or how about when someone gets in your space? Or how about when it comes to your children when you're out in public? etc., etc. etc.!!!

SHOOT, most of the time I'm NOT professional...lmao...But I can guarantee you, when it comes to working with bo's, I'm as professional as they come.

I'm sure many people can identify with not experiencing professionalism from SS's and title companies. Again, two wrongs don't make a right but I've found it difficult to be professional with some of them!!! That's a fact.

I love when Pat Boone said one time, "I came to realize that the saying "Judge not; for how you judge, you will be judged", is a very powerful motto to live by. It certainly applied in my life."

About this freedom of expression: Be careful how you express yourself. You could open yourself up to a lawsuit when you post opinion <i.e. TOTALLY SUCKS ***!> as if it were fact. I responded to a thread regarding posting to Ripoff Report and demonstrated what is libel and what is not, based on the definition of "libel". Stick to the facts - i.e. Notary ASAP, Inc, Orange, CA did not pay as agreed here are the details___________________________________________. Let the reader form their own opinion about the company - don't write yours unless you want to be sued for libel.

Notary Rotary is The Premier Web Site for Professional Notaries - that depends on us, the posters. Please....let's not drag it through the gutter and make it a cesspool by posting anything and everything because we have "freedom of expression". Remember: Just because we can, doesn't mean we should. You gain or lose your forum colleagues respect by the way you express yourself.....something to think about. JMHO

Perhaps a fluke? Typically they are great to work with.

I've worked with them a long time without difficulty. Mistakes happen, perhaps this was a fluke? Was this your only closing with them? Before I have a coronary about someone's payments, I usually ensure that it's a pattern of late payment, slow payment or nonpayment. (Either by my own experience, or others. I've never had trouble with them.) My experience with Notary ASAP is that they are easy to work with, and pay well and within a reasonable period of time.

Did you follow billing protocols? Perhaps there was a legitimate problem holding up your payment (no W-9 or something?) .

Just wanted to chime in and let people know not to be discouraged. Notary ASAP is one of my favorite companies to work with.
