Professional Settlements

Just turned down an assignment for Professional Settlements out of Henderson, Nevada. Was solicited for the assignment via e-mail. Wanted $95 for a re-fi. Declined but also looked them up here in NotRot. Found 2 companies with similar names in Ohio. When I did a search I found references to this company looking for "salespeople" for debt collection. About an hour after I declined, they called me and said that they would accept my fee. I still declined because I just didn't have good vibes. Has anyone else had similar contacts from them other than debt collection?

They pay me in under 30 days.

I've closed for Professional Settlement Services (Henderson, NV)...they usually call AND email me with opportunities, pay very well and I always receive my check within 10-14 days of the closing. There are always 3-5 pages of faxbacks, but nothing too strenuous. No handholding, and if issues arise surrounding the closing, they are responsive and have their act together. I enjoy working with them very much!

BTW, I've never done (or been asked to do) any structured settlements for them, though I believe that is one aspect of their business...

I've worked for them for re-fis with no issues. Fair fees and they pay within 2-3 weeks. Yes, they do solicit you via e-mail, but lately they have been contacting me directly via phone for closings.

Give them a try next time around..... Smile

Thank you all for you comments. Looks like my vibes were off! Hope to have the opportunity to hear from them again.

I think I get e-mails from them about re-fi closings. I used to read the e-mail and then send back a comment that the offer was too low ($85.00 including print fee), now I just delete.

It's been sevearl yrs, but I did their lump-sum settlement

pkgs - think seller pkg for$100- $125 w/ 2-3 pg faxbacks. That was NICE work, even $85 isn't BAD for 15 min work, depending on how far you have to drive. Another plus: signers are always aware of docs & EAGER to sign!

Yeah and for that $85 they want you to print 3 sets of docs (or more)
1 to sign and 1 set of copies for each borrower. So you typically use almost an entire ream of paper for 1 closing. Their packages are normally 130-140 pages.
