UPS delivery disrupted
Got this bulletin Severe Weather Impacting UPS Service
We would like to advise you that last night’s severe weather in Louisville, KY, caused significant disruption to operations at Worldport, our main operations center in the U.S. As a result, some shipments may experience unavoidable delays. Shipments impacted by this event will indicate a weather delay when tracking on ups.com.
The UPS Service Guarantee does not apply when transportation networks are disrupted due to conditions beyond our control. Please refer to the Service Update on ups.com for the latest information.

Yes, may have disrupted some. UPS operates a air center at Rockford Il thats is used when Louisville is having problems. In case of storms, wher planes are delayed in landing or taking off, a Next Day Air should get to the destination but may be late.

With UPS, inernational is processed at Philly, thus they are routed through Philly from your regional center and do not go through Louisville. Example: item for the Pacific rim leaves Philly with crew which flys to Anckerridge where a new crew flys that plane to it's desination. The first crew fly a short flight to a desination to Hi or a west coast city and returns to rest and get the next flight to the Pacific rim. The reverse is true. This keeps from having two crews on a single flight which would take over 10 hours plus most plans need to be refueled.

It must depend on your point of origination. Almost all of my international packages go through Louisville, including the one I sent to Mexico yesterday. We both operate shipping centers.
