When asked to reduce your fees...
Tired of those SS's that ask you to accept lower fees? Afriend of mine is one of those lowball NSA's that accept ANYTHING they throw her way, w/ the 'something's better than nothing' philosophy. She's now working three jobs (incl. a midnight - 8am shift!), thinking that she'll make it up... I tried to explain that she's making it harder on everyone esp herself (unless she only plans on sleeping on the wknds)! SMH!!!!
Next time I get a call/ email asking me to accept a lower fee: "I understand & totally agree w/ you that this is a lousy market. So, even though gas, paper and other supplies have risen astronomically over the past _ years, in the interest of keeping closing costs down, I've not raised my fee & will try not to do so, even as my own business costs continue to soar" or something like that!

Let them take the lowball fees
They will be too busy to take the good payers.

It's been brought up many times that once you start accepting the low fees it's harder to get them raised. Once again, I haven't seen ANY reductions in fees on the HUD Settlement Statement to the borrowers! :-(

I've been told this today by a well known company that people are accepting BOA loans (big pkgs and massive faxbacks) for $45-$80. Shame on anyone who accepts these jobs. I asked to have my name removed from their list of active agents.

Well, it will be interesting to see how long people
accepting those fees will be around. Also, if someone is moonlighting, printing at work, etc. & has very little expenses, it's not a bad deal, after all.

"not a bad deal, after all..."
...except for the person or company they're stealing from!
