A first for me - Funny ID situation

I get to the title company to do a purchase signing. I had seen the papers briefly. Wife walks in and I told her that I would need her ID and please pull it out so I can make a copy. Anyway, her ID is in her maiden name but she says that her husband is bringing the marriage certificate. I told her that I was sorry but I cannot use it. I asked how long they have been married. She says 7 months. Then she says, I have been holding off getting a picture because I want to lose more weight first. ha ha ha I couldn't believe it. Nobody has ever said that to me before.

the lender changed the docs so it matched the ID. Luckily for me, it only took them about 10 minutes. Whewww.

That could take forever!

I had a situation yesterday where the lender added Sr to the borrower's name. However, he NEVER goes by that. He signs his name as John Doe, not John Doe, Sr. He previously took title as John Doe. It took 50 minutes to convince the title co. and the loan processor (both in CA) that I could not and would not notarize his sig as John Doe, Sr. Furthermore, the borrower did not want to sign that way as it was not his legel sig. Therefore, I could not even ask for a credible witness.
What don't they understand about the word no?
