Business slow down...
Has anyone else experienced a significant slow down in their business? I haven't received a single call in two days. And it seemed to die down after last Wednesday. Any ideas?

Most title co's that I work with are saying with rates going up and values down it's hard to get business - it has slowed for them also. Work in my area has stayed fairly consistant even for the beginning of the month. I usually don't see a slow period at the beginning of the month so it's hard for me comment on that part of your post.

Feb EOM week was dead only a couple, today was a very good day but the rest of the week nothing booked. Look for next Thursday for work (mid month close) Current conditions are not in favor borrowers. Rates up .25-.40 since December, market being flooded with homes for sale (spring launch) and now with inflation cost hitting us (gas, food, you name it)
People want to borrow but can they.

I'm slow too, so I called everyone that I have ever worked for and asked for continued business. Every one of them said they are slow. I even beat the streets, going to brick and mortar Title Co offices, law firms, County Courts- nothing.
I'm trying to find non-traditional notary business to supplement the slow loan signing work. Work such as mesothelioma cases that need affidavits for the patient, jailhouse notarizations (in my area, though, I was told that all of the jails have their own notary), nursing homes, hospitals, you name it.

I've seen a major slow-down in my area, too. Feb. was slowest in over 4 years.
