Competitive rates for purchase & recording

What do you typically charge for a purchase & recording signing meaning I will do the signing then take the Docs to the minicipal center to get recorded? I just want to make sure I'm in the right ballpark.

Only you know how far you'd need to travel to get it recorded and how long that will take.
Time & mileage....plus the purchase signing (& time/mileage for that). Who cares what anybody else charges...you don't know their variables.

You should know that I rarely get involved with requests for recording. In our area, you can only take it to the Recorder's Office & drop it in a box (that includes all the local cities). They will give you a receipt, but no actually recording. You'd have to sit there almost all day, or go back later in the day to get the nos. Also, they often reject & fees have to be exact or they will reject for that too.
The few times I've gotten involved have turned out to be a nightmare.
