GH Signings

Heads Up! GH Signings has gone out of business, owes me $1275! Called BCHH (title) and was told they have paid GH Signings and so their records show "the notary was paid" UGH!
Anyone else out there getting burned by them? I foolishly praised Danny and GH Signings on this board, I am so sorry if I encouraged anyone to take work from them!

Re: GH Signings==GHS? Signings...& Yes...

I just got a check returned from the bank from them yesterday. It was only for one signing, however I am going to fight them to the end. Gather all the information you can about them.

are NSAs not a sub-contractor to a sub-contractor, meaning the generat contractor, the title/escrow co or lender not responsible for making sure thier subs pay their subs.
I know in general Notary work I'm always being ask to Notarize aff's from general contractors the sub has paid it's subs, independent contractors/employees and the material used.

I have done work for BCHH with no problems; are they associated with this GH Signings or just using them for getting Notaries? Glad to know about this GH group so as to avoid taking assignments if I get calls. Thanks for the "heads up". jer

All the work I did for GH Signings was for BCHH title. Danny, the owner of GH Signings was the vendor manager there. In the past, I have worked directly for BCHH without any problems. But I have to say I was more than disappointed in the "Too bad, so sad" response I got from them this morning. I went the extra mile for them, completing so many error free signings. They basically told me this is not their problem. According to their books "The notary has been paid."

If it were me, I would rattle some cages at the TC's state regulatory agency, for failure to fulfill contractual obligations. Did the TC send you the documents directly, or did they come through the SS? You could even try contacting the lender, asking for assistance in the matter. I always exhaust all possible options.

I agree...and since we're talking $1,275 here

I might go so far as Small Claims immediately - and drag everyone in...

I would absolutely pursue further with the TC...

As a matter of fact, the docs were sent to me directly from BCHH (title). I definitely plan on resolving this somehow... Such a huge chunk of change, basically stiffed me on a month's worth of work for this company.

When I called BCHH I was told that they have received so many complaints of non payment from notaries that they were not going to use GH Signings again. Did GH Signings use the withing 25 day payment promise to induce notaries to do work for them (because they know that slow payment is a problem for notaries) with intent of collecting the whole fee for themselves and then stiffing the notaries? Hmmm....

That's good news John...unfortunately it's a little

too late to get all that money back - did they say they were going to honor the outstanding invoices?

Not involved - just curious how far BCHH is willing to go for damage control.

Re: That's good news John...unfortunately it's a little

Nope. They said that they had paid GH Signings and weren't responsible.

BCHH

I'm not impressed with BCHH either. I had trouble with BCHH paying for a signing and finally called the title company and they paid me. Incredible! Yes BCHH, a title company, was hired by a title company. Interestingly my most recent payment problems are coming out of PA. I don't know if it's the snow, high heating bills or frozen mailboxes that are preventing them from honoring their commitments.

Stiffed by them also (GHS). TC also sent docs directly to me. Shame I have to make sure things are done correctly for TC and recording, but I am out of luck when it comes to being compensated in order for the loan to fund.

I did several closings for GH Signings and got paid. I haven't done a closing for them in months. I would always include my invocie in the package with the docs. Even though GH Signings said not to, the title company instructions said to do so. One time GHS and BCCH paid me and so I called GHS to inform them I would be ripping up his check because I had already been paid weeks previously by BCCH. He asked me how much my check was for and I told him. Well, GHS told me that I was lying had gotten a check from BCCH for my fee AND theirs and that I had basically taken there money. Needless to say, after I let him know how I felt I never heard from him again.

Now they were being hypocritical when they accused you of lying when they promised us our
within 25 days and haven't paid. What was the name of the man that you talked to at GH Signings? My contact was a woman.

This is Sean from GHSignings. Yes we did go out of business. And yes i owe quite a few of you money. I will make good on this. And i will be calling each of you to work out getting your your well deserved payment. I know you did a service that deserves to be paid for. I started this without BCHH knowing. BCHH did pay for each of these closing. I plan and will pay each of you what you deserve. I just do need time. and will call each of you.

how could you have started the business, or continued the business without bchh knowing, when bchh was sending your agents the loan documents.

You got caught up in your own bs??? Danny, you pratically break bread at the table of the owner's of bchh, so you have either been a rotten friend and sneak...or you are trying to sugar coat getting caught with your hand in the cookie jar. You bring disgrace to the good people that are still left at bchh. Own up to your mistakes and do the right thing by everyone.
