Re: Inexpensive Hammermill Paper...huh

Cheapest I saw was $45.79 for letter and $67.90 for legal.

Please give price and item numbers...they show 171 selections for white paper, which ones do you consider inexpensive?

Re: Inexpensive Hammermill Paper...huh

I couldn't seem to find any good deals, either. We must not be looking in the right spot. Everything was about twice as much as I'd ever pay. I was amazed at their 200,000-sheet offer for $1,752, which according to my math (always subject to corrections) comes out to $4.38/ream - again, about half of what I would want to pay ....

$51.50/case for legal at business-supply.com

is beginning to look really good. It's hard for me to lug a case of legal from Costco.

I open the box, take out 4-5 reams and put in basket.

Much easier that way.

Re: I open the box, take out 4-5 reams and put in basket.

I do basically the same, Jan - I just pull the box from the shelf into the cart, then put the reams individually into the car. (Sometimes some nice Costco worker will actually put it in the cart for me!) My Costco has actually dropped the price of legal paper. All last year it was $43/case; now it's $39. So I bought two cases the other day. I don't buy letter at Costco cos I can always get it cheaper when Staples/Office Depot/Office Max have specials - in the mid-$20 range or sometimes even less... occasionally Walmart will have it for $1.99/ream, Yeah!

Re: I open the box, take out 4-5 reams and put in basket.

For those not aware, if you save your ink cartridges and return them to Staples, you receive a check in the mail as "Reward points" to be used in Staples. I just got a case of letter and legal for free!! A nice perk in these slow business months.

Yeah..but they've gone from paying you $3 a cartridge to $2 a cartridge :/ Still, better than a poke in the eye....
