Has anybody done any timeshare closings lately?

Yesterday and Today I worked for a company that helps people get rid of their timeshares. It appears that ever-escalating maintenance fees, special assessments, etc. are taking their toll.

I sold mine for 20 cents on the dollar and

I know of two people who pretty much gave them away. Big waste of money IMHO.

You are one of the lucky ones.

People are now paying big bucks to get rid of them.

I haven't had one in years! 2 or 3 at least. I haven't heard of any one making any money on their "investment". Hotel biz is so hurting, you can get outrageous deals on priceline.com. I use them all the time.

I used to do lots of them when I lived in California. I worked for a company that had many buyers. That was when people were buying. I guess things have changed.

At one time, Hilton Grand Vacations Club used to call me all the time. They paid really well too. I heard today that Mariott is divesting itself of its timeshare division.

I used to do a lot for Hilton, haven't had a call in a few

months at least.
