How many closings?
Just curious about a listing from an CSA that has been doing signings for 4 years and shows she has done 10,000 closings. Is that possible?? Not to mention that this person only does this part-time.

that's almost 7 per day for 4 years

Ah, yes ... 7 per day!
Those were the glory days in the mid/late 90's when we'd receive 50-page sets of dox in advance by courier ... in and out in a half-hour or less! I'd do anywhere between 3 and 7 ... sometimes even 8 ... every day, six days a week. We received $50 each, and gasoline was barely over $1.00 per gallon. And, we had Susan and Scott Pense, when being Certified had a certain cache!

Looks like the fees being offered is the only thing ...
that hasn't changed in the last dozen years!

odds are no.. 1500 days 10K signings what do you think
That 7 signings per day for the last 4 years ( no days off or holidays) the market in the past 3 years it would never happen.

Is it possible she was a prior tc employee
or escrow closer? Possible to do that many over a 25 year career.

Re: Is it possible she was a prior tc employee
I did well over 12,000 in just 5 years (as employee) - me, myself & I. As the manager, I oversaw over 103,000 in that same time frame, average of $50 mil/month. 70 hrs week. Avg of 90 phone calls a day.
Of course, that was before the crash of both the industry and myself. =)

Well lets see: I've been doing this full time for 7 1/2 years. It is my ONLY source of income. I calculate I've done around 7000 closings during that time. So someone who's been doing this part time for 4 years and claims to have done 10,000? Yeah, I call B*LLS**T.
I know someone in the Metro Detroit area that manages to add several thousand closings to her tally and several years to her length of experience every time she decides to update her online profiles, which seems to be about six times a year. Four or five years ago, I think her profile said she had something like 10 years of experience and 10,000 closings. Last time I came across one of her listings, it said something complete ridiculous, like 27 years of experience and 25,000 closings. Must be in dog years.

Maybe a closer working inside a busy title office could do that number, but no way do I believe it for someone who has to travel from appointment to appointment...

I agrfee with Robert. As a former escrow officer I can see where she could have a larger number of completed closings than most if she had been employed in that field, but just as a signing agent these days? Hmmmm....kinda doubt it.

Re: How many closings? Or is it notarizations?
May be worth a closer look. If the claim is 10,000 notarizations (which I have seen before, too), that's y feasible. I've never counted my work that way, but I'm sure it's waaaay over that...
