Is anyone else as slow as I am?
I usually average about 10 closing a week and now for the past two weeks it has been down to 1 closing a week. What is going on?
TIA

Extremely slow for me, also. March did end up better than Feb. though. I've been shocked at how quiet it's been this week.

Same here...read somewhere, the foreclosure sales are not
selling as fast anymore, and that housing sales in general have taken a slump lately...I guess new home buyers are getting a little bit more picky about those short sales and foreclosure sales....could be financing is taking a bit longer as well...

Re: Same here...read somewhere, the foreclosure sales are not
I'm seeing articles in papers saying that people are getting stuck because of missing notes, mtgs, etc. and can't move into their foreclosure purchases; living in hotels, etc. http://articles.orlandosentinel.com/2011-03-30/business/os-foreclosure-extended-stay-20110330_1_extended-stay-hotels-value-place-foreclosure-and-renters

People are also hearing how loan the process is taking and really don't want the hassle. Also waiting for the new interest rates to come into play. IMO

In the last 2 weeks, people have been telling me that their process is from 4-9 months!

I was rocking along in Dec/Jan, Feb was a bit slow, then March has been much slower. I'm in line now for 4 this week, had 3 last week, 2 the week before.
I'm still getting some new clients, though, so I'm hoping things will continue. I have some other ways to bring in income that I can fall back on if I need to, but I'd really rather this business pick up enough for me to keep my extremely modest standard of living.
