I CAN'T BELIEVE ANYBODY STILL WORKS FOR THEM!
This is my standing response to any post about NREIS nonpayment, caps intended. (I didn't think I would get to use it again so soon. It was only March 14 I inaugurated it after months and months and months of "Anyone know why NREIS won't pay me?")
BTW, Novic, please check out message 376683 of a mere two days ago for more info on this subject.
But in answer to your question, what benefits NREIS not to pay: THEY GET TO KEEP YOUR MONEY! with all the benefits that entails, such as they pay themselves before they pay you (if they ever do), they earn interest on your money, their bottom line looks better if they want to impress their clients about what a healthy, profitable company they are, they don't have to waste valuable employee time, paper and ink cutting checks to notaries, etc
And in answer to your first question: Yes, many notaries have worked for them, obviously. That's how they stayed in business. Best of all for NREIS, they have plenty of bozo notaries who gladly work for them - but then whine months later about how badly they are being treated despite regular posts on NR and other sites for a year now warning notaries of such behavior. How sweet it is!

Wanna sue NREIS court for non-payment?
We could make things real uncomfortable for NREIS if ALL-OF-US were to combine our unpaid NREIS invoices and hired a PA lawyer to pursue them for payment in a PA Superior Court. Also, the Department of Professional Licensing, Department of Corporations and/or PA Attorney General might want to hear about NREIS problems. This can not work unless EVERYONE participates 100%. "In for a penney, in for a pound!"
