Re: Neat receipts scanner vs. others. Opinions welcome.

I just purchased a Brother DS600 scanner. It's very compact (11.75 inches long) and very easy to set up. I've only used it twice so far, but I'm pleased with the results. It sells for $149.99 at Staples but they price matched $119.99 at Quill three weeks ago. I think it also does color scanning as well as black and white.

I have the NeatDesk and love it. It is much more than a scanner.

I went to buy neat receipts and found a better option and reviews for that kind of cash.

Fujitsu ScanSnap S1500. As fast as neat (20 PPM color or black and scans both sides) and the best part is that it comes with the full Adobe Acrobat SW which retails about $250.00.

Lowest price I found was $408.00 shipped.

Just drop in up to 50 pages of any size up to 8.5 x 14 and hit the button...it scans as PDF, Excel, Word or other options. You can put in varied sizes at same time like neat and it grabs them no matter how small.

I love it....just not thrilled with price.

I'm using the VuPoint wand scanner for my receipts. I went that route because IMO it is more versatile & does other things.
