Need Verbage Help

I certify that I know or have satisfactory evidence that __borrowers names___ are the persons who appeared before me, and said persons acknowledged that they signed this instrument, on oath stated that they are authorized to execute the instrument and acknowledged it as the ________________ of __________________ to be the free and voluntary act of such parties for the uses and purposesmentioned in this instrument.

Looks like it should read

as the "President" of "XYZ Company"....maybe..

I'd put the word "signers" in the first line and cross out and initial the word "of" so reading

"acknowledged it as the signers to be the free and voluntary act..."

Or call title..Smile

Re: Looks like it should read

Linda's right if the acknowledgment is related to a business's activity. However, in my opinion, it could be as Trustee of XYZ Trust, or as whatever capacity of whatever entity.

Other posters may want to chime in. PAW?

And as Linda said, you may want to double check with those who hired you to complete the transaction.

Is this a certificate?
Is it attached to a document?
If so, does it have anyone else signing the document besides a notary?

If I, for instance, were presented with this document and it required me to sign and notarize it without another person acknowledging it/swearing to something, I can't notarize it. Txns don't certify. PA can, but not many other places.

...and, just ignore my remarks.

I didn't read the part about the "instrument".
