NotariesExpress

Posted by MariaIECA on 2/25/11 3:37pm
"Have not been paid for a signing I did for them on 12/22/10. I have been emailing back and forth with Maria at NExpress. At first I got the excuse that they did not know if the file had closed. I also was told to check my order because it states that if the file does not close, I will not be paid. This of course made me question the excuses I was given. Luckily, I have access to Title Search and sure enough I found that the documents I notarized had been recorded on 12/28 & 12/29. I scanned the documents over to Maria at NExpress and she said she would call title and let Svitlana know. That was 2 weeks ago. I tried emailing last week and did not receive any response. Just sent another email today. If they ever give you the excuse that the file did not close, don't take their word for it!" Posted by MariaIECA on 2/25/11 3:37pm

What was the outcome of the above? They called me today to do an RM. She said they got my info from ***. I asked her what they pay and she said net 30, blah blah, I said no how much is the pay. She said $90. I said, I'm sorry, but I don't do RM's for that (don't do anything for that, but kept it at the task at hand.) She said what is your fee, I said $xxx. She agreed very sweetly to it and said she'd send the confirm over.

About 20 min's or so later, she called back to say that it was put on hold and they would let me know when it was reposted. She also noted that she would keep my info in their data base.

This happened last week or the week before too. Some guy from Notaries Express called and pretty much did the same thing. Nicely agreed to send the confirm but then called a short time later and said it was canceled.

Hmmmmm, think they're looking to see who they can lowball?????? Uh, can we all say in unison?, "DUUUUUUH." Or um, excuse me, am I being a bit too cynical???? hmph, think not!!!

What are your thoughts?

I am pretty surprised to hear you are having problems with Notaries
Express. I have been working for them for a very long time and have never once had a problem with payment from them. Try calling Steve at ext. 7015 and explain to him the problems you are having.

She's not having problems with payment

she quoted someone who is..

Her problem is them agreeing to her higher fee, then postponing, stating they'll advise when it's reposted, and she's still waiting - since 2 weeks ago.

Re: I got paid eventually...

After many, many emails and finally speaking to the owner. I still had to chase my payment down after proving to them that the documents I had notarized had been recorded. Remember, they will not pay you if the deal doesn't go through.

Re: I got paid eventually...

Yeah, Svitlana PM'd me. She seems like a very nice person. But I still can't help but feel a bit cynical.

Though I've not asked her yet, I'm curious to know how she can think that it's okay not to pay. If I did a closing and it didn't fund, that doesn't mean I didn't perform my services. And how about my paper, toner, gas, time, etc.? How about I most likely turned down a PAYING closing because of it not being timely feasible to do both (or THREE OR MORE for that matter)?

Come on!!! You want us to use our resources for nothing? Because we agreed to work with you? We take the closing in good faith of being paid and we have to worry that we won't get paid because it didn't FUND?????? Svitlana (because I know you're going to read this), please respond and tell us how YOU think it's okay that we use the supplies WE PAY for and everything else to help YOU and we get nothing in return if it doesn't fund? At the very least, it would only be ethical for you, your company or your client to give a print/trip fee. Why should we have to PAY to work for YOU? tsk tsk tsk...for SHAME!
