Premier Lending Services
Could only find one recent posting on this in the archives so wanted to check to see if anyone has had bad luck getting paid from them...they are out of Irvine, CA. They called for a RM, 200 pgs, 6-8 fax backs for $100...mileage is about 16 miles away from my location. I told them I had just done a Cash purchase for $150 for the same area with only 30 pgs. and 2 faxbacks. She said she could offer $125...told her to find another signing agent.

It sounds like regardless of feedback on this company, you made an executive decision not to accept the signing.

Stephanie, I could be wrong, but it appears that the OP might be looking for additional info to help verify their decision not to accept the offer. Sounds like they might be having second thoughts if they were to find out this company had a record of paying as agreed or more confident about turning it down if not.
Personally, if the fee offered is not acceptable to me, a good payment history is irrelevant to me. If it is not worth it for me to do at $100 (a ridiculous offer in the first place) getting a check in 30 days for a job that was not worth the money received will not suddenly make the job "worth it".
That said, you are correct about the executive decision they made. For the record, I would have done the same (turned it down).

I charge a minimum of $150 for RM signings...and I'd charge more if it were farther than 20 miles (one way) or if the package was over 120 pages. I'd have not only turned it down, but asked them to quit wasting my time with ridiculous offers.

I agree and my starting charges are the same as yours, Julie.
Extra - large doc pkg fee for 200 pages plus fax back charge would have been added by me.
"quit wasting my time with ridiculous offers" -- 100% agree!

One thing that irritates me is when you ask how large the package is and they tell you 70 pages. When the documents arrive, they're 140 and you have to print 2 sets. Then, you're stuck with the fee. As someone else has sent you the docs.
Even though I love my job, I get so fed up with being treated like notaries are scum of the earth.

Their 200 pages usually include borrower copies
I've done reverse apps for them and almost choaked when I saw 200+ pages until I figured out that half was for borrower. I have not had any problem working for them.

Just a suggestion, but if the 200 pgs doc sets are for both
the company should have the schedulers say that. If they did, they might not have to call as many NSAs to assign the signing.
Unless they explain the difference, when I'm told 200 pgs, I naturally believe the 1st set of docs is 200 pgs and will quote my fee based upon that.
That's not the impression I received on my last request for a 200 pg package (counting both sets).
I will admit that the next time I receive a request and I'm told the doc package has 200 pages, I will take the time to ask if that includes both sets if the information is not presented by the scheduler. That way, I can give them an approximate quote. Thanks Yowheelz.
