Printing in Windows 7- Need hlep from "techies"
May be the techies can answer this question: I tried printing docs in Windows 7 for the first time today (new 'puter) and lo and behold, there was no "select tray" option for paper size. So I printed from old laptop that has XP on it but I'd like to know what to do to solve this. TIA Eveline

Have the printer drivers and the printer been "installed" on the Win7 computer? If the drivers are not installed on the new computer, the system may "see" the printer, but doesn't know what features it has, including how many trays and the printer control language.
I have WinVista and WinXP on my systems, but it should be similar. Click on the start button (lower left corner of the screen, go to the "control panel", then "printers", and see what printers have been installed.

I have a Brother printer. I had to go to Printer Properties and click on the Accessories tab and add the 2nd tray, and then assign paper sizes to each tray. In my case, the 2nd paper tray was an extra option I bought. If that's the case with your printer, that may be how to do it.
And, yes, did you install the Win7 drivers for your printer or let it use default drivers? That can also be a problem.

I realize now that my printer is shown with only one tray, I just didn't notice it before. Once I add the other tray to the configuration I imagine that it will solve the prolem. Thanks for the help y'all.
