The R&R Group, Indianapolis, IN
I did a search on this company; most recent info was from 2009. Does anyone have anything more recent as far as the good/bad/ugly?
Thanks in advance.

I found this on another notary forum.
"Posted - 01/10/2011 : 06:08:19 AM -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Do not Work for R & R GROUP. Rod is such a liar."

Their Account with me is currently paid, but I think I am one of the lucky ones. Stay away.

Toxic
I know there have been discussions about them much later than 2009 if you do an orange button search here - and none of it good. Unless they have turned their ugly duckling routine into a beautiful swan, I would stay faaaar away. I had two experiences with them several years ago - threatened to take them to small claims court, so they actually paid! But it was an ordeal. They were scum and appear not to have improved based on the occasional post here. I think the reason they get away with this is because one of their girlfriends/now wife? owns the TC so they're in cahoots scamming notaries.

Re: Toxic
Thanks all:
I did the orange search button first, and the only thing that came up was from 2004 and 2009. Perhaps it was my search words...I will try again.
Obviously, not great news either way.......
Thanks!

Looks like I have a fight on my hands.....I will be sure to let you know how it turns out. I guess it may be time to get creative. Looks like I may have to re-visit my research on judgment recovery. I won't wait 130 days to get paid, and I don't play with non-payers. It is not only what we are due; it is about the principle of the matter. You don't ask someone to facilitate a closing when you don't have working capital. It is really unfortunate we have to be put in this type of position.
Thanks for the "linking" help Copperhead; I don't post super often, so I was unaware of that feature.

Too bad you weren't able to find out all this before you took the job. Sorry!
Additionally I suspect they have plenty of "working capital" - it's just they they choose not to to spend it on notaries ... but I was surprised how easily they rolled over when I threatened them in a phone call with small claims court. Still, that was years ago; they've had plenty of time since to fine tune how not to pay the notary. Good luck.

Waiting for payment from R & R since Dec. 2010. Will not reply to emails/phone calls or faxes. Sickening to run a business like they do! They have always paid me but it have never taken this long..
What is the name of the TC that the wife/GF own? Thanks

Sooo sorry...
I used to do some work for them and considered them friends for over 5 years.. then reminders at 45 days and then 60 and 90. Was over 90 days on last one when I relocated to Alabama. Sent them an email and told them to keep it cause it is a shame that someone that had been a friend had to call and beg for his money.
Fortunately I always got paid until the last one. Might have been cause I was only 2 and a half hours away and was in Indianapolis every couple of months.
Good luck. I would definitely carbon copy any correspondence to the title copy that you send and I know I am going to get flamed for that last statement but that is my opinion. Make it a little uncomfortable for them.

Sorry, Claudia .... like I said, it was years ago I had the misfortune of dealing with them, but for some reason I remember the name Sally as the TC girlfriend/wife in cahoots with them... which I realize is no help at all. If they treat their wives/girlfriends the way they do notaries, who knows what's going on at R&R now. Maybe bfd110, who was friends with them at one point, would know ....
