Update--copyright infringment lawsuit
I got a call from the insurance co. today. The matter is covered by my Business Liability Policy. whewwwww! They're going to call & negotiate a settlement, so I don't have to do anything else. BTW, I've been hearing of several royalty-free image sites, including dreamstime.com.

Yes, I'm so glad I added that & didn't rely on only E&O. n/m

Re: Will you let us know what the $ settlement turns out to be?
Sure. I'm not exactly thrilled with the outcome on this one. IMO it was worth $200, at best. I'm not foolish enough to overlook that insurance claims drive up costs for all of us. I can attest to that from my auto insurance, that's for sure.

That's good too hear. If it came to trial, the judge could always knock the liability down to $200 because it was inadvertent infringement, but your insurance co probably knows this.
Just a couple of reminders when buying the royalty-free stuff - make sure you review (and keep a copy of) the site's usage policies, and keep copies of any invoices or emails you get indicating which images you purchased and when. Some photographers will sell to these stock photo houses and then turn around and cut a deal with someone else. As long as you can show you purchased from the stock photo site and followed their usage policies, it would be their problem rather than yours.
