We get no respect

Julie's post below about how we get no respect reminds me of a story I heard today about a notary who still actually works for NREIS! At $85 a pop, apparently. They owe him about $700 from months and months and months ago (per usual), and one day he finally gets a check - for $85! He's too busy to take it to the bank right then, but goes the next morning. The teller looks at the check, perplexed, and then tells him, sorry, it can't be cashed because it's no longer good. The Valid for 90 days or 180 days or whatever it was had already expired! So not only was it for a lousy $85 when they owed him hundreds, it was too old to cash!
So he calls NREIS, who asks him why he held on the check for so long!! GREAT SCAM!

The next time they called for a job, he started to say, look, you owe me ... and before he could continue, the scheduler said "Thank you" and hung up.

Also, he said, NREIS is now paying $25 for BofA loan mods.

How loooow can they go? (As low as they want as long as we continue taking their calls and working for them, I guess).

IMO opens up a whole new issue with them..

Isn't this the equivalent of issuing a check when there's no funds to cover it? I would think so - sending a check that's too old to cash...

IMO, He would need to keep the envelope to show

when they mailed it to show that they sent it in bad faith. Just a guess on my part, but I think it would be helpful if he needed to file on them.

Agreed, Moneyman. I always keep the envelope when a company is delinquent in sending me the check.

A good reason to save the envelope with the postmark of the day the check was mailed.

FASS IS THE WORST COMPANY THAT I HAVE EVER WORKED FOR, ALWAYS CANCELING AT THE LAST MOMENT. NEVER PAYING OVER $75.00 for edocs no matter how far you need to travel. I used to think that I would take the good signings with the bad and it would equal out. I quit em and am glad of it.
