Why bother even asking me?

Got an e-mail -

"We have an Modification signing in XXXX, FL. The appointment time can be scheduled with the borrower.

Fee is approximately $50.00. If your fee would be higher, please provide what that would be.

Please let us know if you are available for this signing."

Wrote right back and asked "Is this for the final modification or for the application?" (That's all I said)

Got response - "Thank you for replying. This has been assigned".

Yeesh...

Re: WOW...apparently their phishing expedition got a bite!

I don't know if they got a bit or if they didn't want to be bothered answering a simple question - didn't see where they sent it to anyone else - usually it says "undisclosed recipients"...

I don't blindly accept e-mail assignments with that little information unless it's a company I know and trust....

Not always. Sometimes it shows just the recipient's name. My guess is that they sent it out to a whole bunch of people and someone else accepted it right away. Their response didn't make things very clear, but... what else is new? Wink

I don't respond to that kind of email. IMO companies that send them are playing a game. No thanks. Delete, delete, delete.
