Look at the people in the streets! White House crowds
grow in Lafayette Park with thanks and joy in the relief of Justice Served. Our youth are rejoicing in Patriotism, Love of Country - just saw a sign in the crowd: "Obama 1, Osama 0." Ha. O before S. (my son called when the news broke, and thought he'd break-it-to-me, which, he hadn't, and it reminded me of his childhood questioning my reasoning, and my "A before C = Adult Before Child.", so I chuckled.)
Learning the details, bit by bit, our Special Ops Personnel, the best in the World, is fascinating, (and I must confess, I want to see it in what's sure to be one helluva [redacted and morphed artistically, and not revealing the, you know, Secrets...] movie.)
The Commander in Chief just proved, in a most extraordinary way, that National Secrets must be kept - and I am just so proud of our Military and Diplomatic Corps under his leadership.
"Yes We Did!"

Statement from Pres. George W.Bush, beautifully stated
Earlier this evening, President Obama called to inform me that American forces killed Osama bin Laden, the leader of the al Qaeda network that attacked America on September 11, 2001. I congratulated him and the men and women of our military and intelligence communities who devoted their lives to this mission. They have our everlasting gratitude. This momentous achievement marks a victory for America, for people who seek peace around the world, and for all those who lost loved ones on September 11, 2001. The fight against terror goes on, but tonight America has sent an unmistakable message: No matter how long it takes, justice will be done.
