Doc Pros, Murietta non payment

Per DocPros accounting, the reason for non-payment of all 2011 assignments is because they hadn't collected payment from title. They had difficulties with a new title company billing system. They are not able to pay until title pays. Apparently these issues have been resolved and my funds are in the mail. We should all be receiving our checks and we'll need to post receipt in signing central to show when they get us caught up. Hopefully they'll be back to their previously good standards shortly.

Re: good standards?

I never knew they had any!

The last time I heard from them, they accepted my fee, & never sent a confirmation.

I called them twice to let them know I never received a confirmation. Left messages. I never heard back, and knew they had shopped around for someone cheaper, but never bothered to tell me they scheduled with someone else.

About 10 min. before the closing was to have taken place, amazingly enough, I got a call from a scheduler @ docpros asking if I was available for a closing....in 10 [e-mail address] the same location they had called me about the day before.

I wonder what happened to the notary they scheduled with?

I have never had a problem with doc pros. if my payment is a little over 30 days- I send a friendly reminder to accounting and get an email response and a check within days?

>They are not able to pay until title pays< DUH!! Title gets paid off the HUD on day of funding.
>difficulties with a new title company billing system< What! Pure BS!!
>not able to pay until title pays< very clear, they pay themselves 1st and screw the Notary, because the can.
>these issues have been resolved< sure! sure!
>we'll need to post receipt in signing central to show when they get us caught up< So far out, Ican't think of anything that's worth saying. Why? Pure BS
If your work for them, you get waht you asked for.

Title cos do get paid at closing, and they disburse to HUD-1 vendors at closing, but they do not pay their own vendors at closing. Their vendors get paid on various schedules. Some pay weekly while others pay only once per month so the explanation is not far fetched. Anyone accepting an assignment from a signing agency is at risk. They are not capitalized to pay notaries from their huge bank accounts. There is no regulatory agency requiring them to be capitalized. That is why we are extremely discriminating about those we will accept assignments from and it is also why we keep eachother closely posted about issues. As we have all learned in the past, not only do agencies go belly up but title companies do too. I am hoping for the best outcome in this instance.

Well, they can blame whoever they want but when I had my own business I ALWAYS paid my employees first, bills second and me third. It worked out very, very well that way - and that is the way it should be. When are they all going to learn that good employees (including in this case, notaries) can and do in reality "make their business" - why screw that up with non-payment or excuses! JMHO!
