LSI's Clever Attempt to Steal Local Client Business

Just a heads up, LSI has cleverly disguised a recent presentation offering new business opportunities to notaries only the naive would fall for. At the end of the presentation LSI asks notaries to provide their bank branch client contacts so they can steal your business from you. The whole purpose of the presentation was to issue a survey to get these contacts.

The presentation was such an enormous farce the to steal business was ever so clear. Never trust an entity that asks for your client business relationships. They were training no one whatsoever. Regardless of LSI's claim the banks are trying to follow new regulations, they can still choose to work with any local business they want to. LSI claims they have no choice.

Try not being so naive, they just want your client contacts so you have to pay a fee to LSI to do business.

I haven't seen the presentation yet, and now I have an invitation sitting in my email. I was really hoping for more business, but in this business climate, I just cannot be too careful with the information I give out. It's sad not to be able to trust them, but over time I have seen them wanting more and more control, more requirements, etc. Thank you for the heads-up.

What??? Can you elaborate

"so you have to pay a fee to LSI to do business."
LSI doesn't charge a fee... or is this something new?

Re: What??? Can you elaborate

If they steal your business, they'll make X and you'll then be hired by LSI to make Y, the difference is their profit.

You have just given them your contacts and they'll then hire lowballers to do the same jobs.

This is why when LSI calls, I always turn them down regardless of how slow i may be. I don't work with them PERIOD.

Shooting yourself in the foot there, Mr. Bates

I've never had a problem working with LSI, never had to "pay a fee" to be in their database - they paid my requested fee of over $100 every time and paid within 3 weeks - no handholding, no faxbacks, no micro-managing, no hoops. One of the easier companies to work with.

You may want to re-think your decision.

Just signed up with LSI a month ago and started receiving calls almost immediately. They have met my requested fee of $xxx and I just received my first check within 21 days. Paperwo has been sent either a day before or several hours before the appointment. I'm very pleased so far with LSI.

They pay twice a month so you get paid about 21 days after doing a refi and they are very easy to work with.

I always get more than $100 without a problem, quick payment. I take all they send my way.

LSI is a division of Lender Processing Services which is the

company that hired "robo" notaries public for that one scam.

I believe someone recently posted a video on it here...

Of course LSI is going to pay as most of their clients are the big banks like Citi, Chase, etc that hire LPS to process their loans!

They have the money, but now have been sort of tainted in light of the recent news media or exposure...
