Never Leave Home Without It....
The other day I had a signing at 4:30p. On my way back home I get a call to see if I can assist with a 7:30p signing - No problem. I drop the package from the 1st signing, and TC asks if I could assist with a 6:30p. - Again no problem it's half way to the 7:30 signing anyway. I get home print the dox for the 7:30 and them bam like a gattling gun my wife asks a couple of questions and me, being a guy, get off track, out of my groove, etc. I grab my bag and off to the 6:30 appt. Great done in plenty of time to get to the 7:30 and, oops, looked down and see that the package for the 7:30 is not on my seat. Pulled off the highway, looked high and low - no package. Called home and yep they're on the printer. Stopped at a certain shipping outlet to see if I could print. After wasting 15 minutes at the kiosk, the CSR says that their printers won't print mixed packages. Well what the $&%#, i have an outdated, beat up, old $50 used printer that can recognized letter/legal why can't your state of the art super printer do a routine task such as recognized mixed sizes. So I'm on the phone withe borrowers, while on the way back home, they're cool about it and even suggested I stop and get a bite to eat. Long story longer I finally arrived an hour and half late.
Moral of the story, check twice (maybe three of four) drive out once.
One small caveat: All were seller packages (somebody has to them)

I'm glad it all worked out for you. We've all had
similar oversights at one time or another. Try as we may, none of us are immune from these types of situations.
I've been dealing with that shipping outlet for a very long time and there is only one location in the Bay Area that has been able to figure out how to print mixed packages. Go figure?

So so true. Are we the ~only~ uber-hightechies to have
discovered the joys of dual tray printing? I sure can't figure that one either.
I think we have to be kind to ourselves when we're not perfect. It's hard, because we work so hard to be competent. When we own the hitches in our giddyups, make things right, and move on with grace, we are redeemed.

"A mind is a terrible thing to lose" Closest that I have
come , thankfully, is to bring in the wrong package from the car. When you looked down at the empty seat, I'll bet you said something like "Darn" or maybe "Gosharootie"

Yes, guys easily get off track. That's because they are mono-brained.....they cannot walk and chew gum at the same time. It's either walk OR chew gum but not both. So that you don't get off track and lose focus next time, just say to your wife: "Sweetie pie, Honeybun....Dumpling, can you hold that thought for a bit until after I finish this". Make sure to bring home fresh flowers for your Sweetie pie/Honeybun/Dumpling.

Funny story, Rick. You didn't lose the signing or your
wife. Sounds like a good "save" to me. LOL BTW, I have to print from outside occasionally. Except for our industry, most very sophisticated equipment at these places don't handle mixed paper sizes. I usually just print on all legal in that situation.

Typo, not bad grammar. I meant "won't handle" or "doesn't handle". LOL :o)

Bad grammar...too funny
Because G*d forbid we look like we don't have college degree's...per Ann we're (NSA's) all ignorant nobodies (of course that's put in my words, but I'm confident that was the message, no?)

Thanks, NJDiva. It is very, very important
to live up to Ann's standards for us. I would be horrified if I disappointed Ann.
