Paperless office? (At a job.)

My office is going "paperless" and therefore, my notarizations will be paperless. If you have any insight that you would like to share about a paperless office environment, or electronic notarizations, I would be grateful.

No help here. Just asking you to keep us advised of how well that works out. I'm old enough to remember when they were trying to computerize the world and the major selling point was 'paperless'. We know how well that worked by the ever-increasing size of paper loan packages... and the ongoing drama of MERS.

Like Lee I remember when my office went "paperless" 18 years ago all a charade. I think we got tax credits for doing so. Instead of us printing Docs and mailing it out, we provided access to the docs and you printed them out....just like we do now for "paperless" TC. roflmao

Uhhhh, Brenda...

...just how far does this paperless thing go? Does it extend to the restrooms?

If I bring something to be notarized, you will do so and I will leave with all the paper. Viola! You have paperless office.

Next problem?

The attempts I have seen at paperless mearly transfers the responsibility of printing to someone else. So there will be paper, just not at your office.

My Husband's accounting practice has been paperless for many years, it has worked out fine. A backup is completed every day in case of loss. Our clients can view their accounting on line at a special assigned website. It's been far easier searching for documents. I didn't think Notary Public work could be paperless?

Paperless = cloud computing...I use Dropbox....

I've busted enough portable hard-drives and have "lost" in my car that is, many usb do-higgies, and figured my money was much better spent on a monthly subscription to the cloud computing. They have paid and free subscriptions....watch video for more info...

Going paperless is fine, but you best have an excellent source of keeping electronic journal files, as well as receipts for services rendered.

Good luck Brenda, you'll def save lots of trees! =)

When I mean paperless, I mean paperless.

It's going to be pretty exciting and a good thing for everyone.
