Printing JMT docs...issue

JMT has a new website that you download the docs from and print. So far I've been printing 105 pages for over an hour, when I can usually print twice that amount in 15 minutes. Anyone else had issues? I'm feeling a little tortured. Smile

Do you have another driver you can try?

Have not had anything from JMT lately, so I've not had the problem. Does the download appear as a normal pdf? Are you printing while still on-line, or saving to a file, and then going off-line to open your file and printing it? Not certain why, or if it will help, but I believe printing from a file within your computer may sometimes be faster than printing while on-line. Either way, such a long period is outrageous, as you've noticed...............

PS ...............

It may be that the pdf file size is trememndous, although I still don't think it should take as long as it is taking to print. From my experience, a pdf containing all docs for a package of 90 to 115 pages contains perhaps 4 mb to 7 mb. If yours is much larger, I recommend making copy of the file, in case anything goes wrong in the next steps, and save it with a similar name. You can reduce the size of the new file without changing the quality or appearance. To do so, open the copy, go to the tool bar and click on the Document tab, and then click on the Reduce File Size choice. Just to be sure you're using the correct (smaller) file, close it, and then re-open it and print it. Hope that works. I'm not a techie guru, but it is late at night and perhaps the techies are already asleep. My suggestion won't hurt, and just MIGHT help.

Check to see that the print mode is set to draft. Sometimes the files are scanned in at a very high resolution and this causes the printer to slow down because of the volume of data being sent. If you print in 'Draft' mode which more than enough in most cases, you'll print faster and use much less toner. A win win.

Sorry for the late reply, but doing exactly that worked. Thanks!
