Question about FASS
Just asking a question because I am curious and had never heard of this before during the entire time I have done closings, so please don't read anything into it. (I know FASS is a sore spot for some.) White glove service. Is this something that they email their notaries once they approve them and they pull it off a list, or do they log into a system and click on ones they choose to be able to do? Do other companies do things like this too? I honestly, until recently had never heard of title companies having programs like this. How does one effectively keep on top of something like this? Maybe the caffeine hasn't kicked in yet and my brain isn't working.

I do a few for FASS on the rare occasions when they meet my fee, so I am not a White Glove notary because all that really means is 'least expensive notary in the area'.

Being a white glove signer for FASS means you've jumped through all their hoops, and when they call you, you work for cheap...I'd rather be on the list of settlement agents who call me because I do the best work, show up on time after confirming with the borrower, and get the package back to them in a timely manner with no drama or issues that keep the file from funding ASAP. I found FASS frought with logistical and content errors from beginning to end a majority of the time. DON'T MISS THEM AT ALL!

I have worked for them but lately when they call me, it's usually 50 miles one way. I'm sorry but I refuse to drive 100 miles RT, I dont care how slow it is right now. Not sure if I'm in or out of their white glove program.

I had white glove status for doing error free signings. I still do error free signings and me, losing my white glove status, had nothing to to with the signings it had to do with them canceling a closing with me and not closing it out on their end; so they hit me with a "quality" issue for not confirming the closing within their precious designated time. I told them you were the ones who cancelled it! Why would I call the borrower to confirm the closing if you cancelled it before it even began? When I tried to get through their red tape; at the end of the day they said they could not remove it from my "issues" report because it is done automatically, but my rebuttal was noted.
I have no idea what status I am, and I still get called to do closings by them....so evidently they are willing to bend the white glove rules when they "need" someone bad enough.
