Question for SS's and TC's
Why does it take 30 days or more to pay a notary a mere $50.00? I provided a notary service (not a signing) for a SS and when inquiring about getting paid I was told we pay in 30 days! All I can say is - they really, really, really must be hurting if it takes them 30 days to pay out $50.00!!!!!

It may be something as simple as their SOP. When I was working in title, checks for non-escrowed payments (notary signing agent, appraiser, inspector, etc.) were cut twice a month, usually the 15th and 30th. Other checks are cut at funding for those costs that are part of the escrow, and usually shown on the HUD.

yes I have my own, which I sold for a very handsome amount of money, thank you, and $50.00 was nothing to my company - however, if we got 500 $50.00 then that would be something.

hmmm...
what if they have 100 $50 payments to get out? How about 1,000? If it was your mere $50 I'm sure it wouldn't be much of a problem for them. Unfortunately, I have a feeling you're probably not the only one waiting for a $50 payment!
So in the big picture, $50 is really not JUST $50 huh?

Unless your contract agreement states “subject to”…It shouldn’t and doesn’t. The good SS’s contract for your services, and pay you as agreed regardless of if or when they may get paid. All others are undercapitalized questionable businesses trying to operate on other people’s money, to which I personally will not extend credit. JMO
