Re-inventing the stamp

I think I'll invent a motorized/electronic notary stamp - something that ensures a perfect impression every time no matter where we're signing, no matter how irregular the surface underneath the document -whether the hood of a car, top of a washing machine, your lap, etc. Oh - and it will also automatically emit a warning beep if the impression is going to touch any document wording - you know, in those cases where the lender docs have left no room for a stamp. Just press a button .. buzz buzz .. and perfection every time!

Any other ideas?

GoldGirl that would be an adjustable laser stamp and I'LL give you the details after I get a patent on it. LOL

Here's an idea

Get rid of stamps, bring back embossers and call it a day.

Re: Here's an idea

Bad idea for me RobertSmile
I haven't the strength in my hands to use the embosser. Every time I need to use it (I like it on documents going out of the country) I have to ask Bruce to squeeze the embosser for me.
Thank goodness for the rubber seal.

Sylvia- have you tried a desk embosser?

They are easier to use because you are just putting your weight on the desk. No hand strength necessary.

I use one of the fancy gold ones. It is very easy to use.

Ah never mind, I see Harry has the desk embosser for $28.95 Smile

I know you are an ASN member... They sell them to members for $36. I got mine from the American Assn. of Notaries for $40. It might be worth it for you since you have difficulty with the hand held.

Yikes, Robert, I can't remember if I renewed my membership back in October, there was so much going on healthwise at that time.
I better check with Kathy or Carly.

Thanks for the inadvertent reminder!

While you're at it, maybe you could come up with a device that ensures all docs are complete, that they haven't typed "Notary Seal here" right in the middle of where you're supposed to put your stamp, and that all verbiage automatically becomes compliant for the state in question.

Come to think of it, maybe just a Notary magic wand that could also make doc borrowers return your calls ASAP and have all doc ready at least 24 hrs in advance, etc. etc. Wink
