Timing
I have a closing for 11:30 this morning it is now 9:52 I would have to leave my house at 10:45 to get to my appointment by 11:30. I know there are times when they send the documents at the last minute and I still haven't receive any. I have called them twice already this morning. And I have no idea wheter the borrow will need a cashiers check or not. What would your views on this? When is it to late? I'm still new and need some advice.

I am a newbie too, but if I were in your situation I would call the borrower and let them know that there might be a delay with the signing as the docs are not ready. As for the timing of the docs, there's nothing you can do to speed it up, if you've called twice already this morning it seems you have done all you can. JMHO. I hope it works out for you!

You can always give the job back. However, business isn't great and that isn't the best option. First of all, contact the customer and advise that you have not received docs and ask how flexible they are with their time. Depending on how busy you are, that could back up other closings and also become a problem. The most important part of this is to keep the borrower in the loop as to what is happening. Also, get used to this as docs are late a good portion of the time. Welcom to our world.

I'm waiting also - although not on docs. I have those for my 2 pm, but I don't have a confirmed-with-me appt. Company says to go anyway but my policy is no go until I have a confirmed appt. I don't care about their 1/2 fee if the BO is not there - not with todays prices on gas, paper, tolls, etc.
So, Darlene, life goes on. My floors need washing, my bed needs making, my dogs need a quick game of fetch and a snuggle, and there is always a book to read or a friend to call. When the BO gets their act together and realizes that things don't just happen when they don't return their voice mails and finally gives me a call, then we can "schedule" this occassion. In the meantime, my life goes on, just as yours should. After all, we are both "just a phone call away."
Waiting is part of the game...sad but true. Find smething to do.
(Now I'm a poet and don't know it - lol)

That's nothing unusual, it happens quite a bit, anything could happen. Once I had Docs coming from TC that did not arrive because...........the person who was suppose to send them to me FORGOT to hit the enter/send key so the Docs were sitting in the "draft" folder. Like the others suggested, keep the borrower in the loop and check on flexibility. If it were me and it was 9:52 and I had to print the Docs and review them before leaving at 10:45 I would have told the hiring party they need to re-schedule it. Monday morning signings are the toughest. IMO

Some people never check their VM.?? So it is not a bad idea to try calling one or 2 more times.
