Your phone or mine?
It has been my practice for the last 9 years to offer the borrower my phone to use when they need to call the LO or EO from the signing table. Sometimes they use their phone.
I would be interested in hearing what other people do.

Much of the time, it's a toll free number, so they can use their land line. I have a bazillion minutes left over, so if it is a toll call, I do let them use my phone, but it's on speaker phone. I am one of those paranoid guys who doesn't like strangers holding my phone up to their ear ......
The greatest thing to me about cell phones has been I have not had to use a public pay phone.

I didn't have a cell phone the first year I got into this business and I would ditch it if I ever got out.
The first 2 years, I would have them use my cell phone to CMA to have proof that we called from the table. In those two years, I no one ever said I didn't call from the table so I have the borrower use their phone. It's a germ thing and most borrowers want to use their own phone for the same reason.

I use my cell phone and put it on speaker when I can. No germs and everyone is on the same page. Truthfully, I am not all that worried about germs, I have been sick less doing this job, than any other job I had working in an office. Who would have thought! I have never missed a closing being sick. Hitting a deer, now that is a different story!

Where do you even find a public pay phone anymore?

It's very rare that it comes to that, but usually I'll initiate the call myself just for expedience and therefore, use my phone & use speaker-phone.

I am well, thank you and I like being in control of my phone. I'm sure not everyone washes their hands as long as it takes her/him/them to sing happy birthday to her/him/themself, after using the bathroom or picking their nasty, but cute nose. I'm sorry, I just never, never, never know where their hands have been. I want to stay well and keep you well too! Have a great evening. LOL (tongue in cheek).

Same here.
And when it's my phone and on speaker, I can step in to move things along. I got an unlimited plan with my last phone upgrade, so I don't worry about minutes anymore. I find it does save me time - and like others have said, we're all on the same page.

Borrowers usually use their land line or I will dial my cell phone and put it on speaker.

If it's about a question that I have regarding my procedures, I will use my cell phone IF I can get a good signal (in this rural state, it's often hard to get a good signal). If I can't get a good signal, I ask to use their LL. If it's a question that THEY have, I don't even offer my phone, just let them call their LO on their phone, be it cell or LL.
