About how much is $500,000 in E&O insurance ?
On Friday afternoon a title company told me it required $500,000 In E&O insurance from it's notaries.
I know I can find out the answer next week. If anyone on the board could give ne a range, that would be great. Thank you!

It not that easy, there is paper work to fill out, all kinds
of information they require before they will give you a quote, at least that is the case here in CA.

It will cost you aroun $1000 for four years. $250 a year, is it worth it? Only you can decide.

I think it's going to be more than that
especially for CA...there IS no $500k E&O unless it's rolled into a professional liability policy.
Not worth it for me. IMO If the company has taken on a client that requires that amount of coverage, the SS or TC should cover the notary under their policy. That should be on them to comply with THEIR client's coverage requirements, not us...

It may be worth considering if you can find that kind of coverage, because that Title Company will only have you and maybe three other notaries in the US working for them.
