She called today asking me to do signing for $65 fee!!! I quoted my $XXX fee after which she started inquiring about my experience level. Even if I had massive experience, I would not work for you!!!! Just blowing off steam. Thanks for listening. Karla

One of the very hardest parts of this NSA job is knowing who to take assignments from and who not to waste your time with. Sounds like you’re learning.

I totally agree with you Karla...I'm surprised the "low ballers" haven't responded with their justification of taking on such low fees....they must be still recouping from all that turkey stuffing!

Kudos to you for sticking to what your worth! BRAVA!

Carrie~ I was pretty sure she wouldn't call back since her offered fee and my requested fee were so far apart. I was wrong.

She called back to say she got approval for $85 but that experienced signers usually get $75. I told her I wasn't interested because: 1) they owe me money; and 2) my fee is still $xxx. She said she is having trouble finding a signer (imagine that!) and wanted to put me on hold and get approval for my requested $xxx fee. I finally said NO, just take my name off your list, I'm not interested. She did say "thank you" and we hung up.

Felt good to be a part of the notary society that is trying to clean up these slow/non-payers and low ballers.

Karla
