It Just Cracks Me Up
I have to laugh at some of these schedulers who call and they are talking a million miles a minute. Sloooooow down, take a deep breath....you will be more efficient in your communication with someone IF you dont have to repeat things over again.

Sometimes I think they do it on purpose
Talk fast and maybe they'll say yes without questions or asking who's calling...

You are correct Linda!
I have discovered that "some" will hang up if you say, "can you hold while I check your company's rating on S/C?"

Re: Sometimes I think they do it on purpose
For some yes, but even the ones I know who they are do it and I have to chuckle. I wonder if they get some kind of incentive pay for every call that they make that is a successful appointment. What I dont like is when they leave me a voice message and I have to repeat the message 2 or 3 times and sometimes even more to get a phone number/extension just to call them back.....that is annoying.....
Effective communication is sooo important in this business, and when I say effective, that means the other person on the other end of the phone has to comprehend what you are saying, lol

I completely agree - a little care goes a long way!
Some of it lately is probably because they're swamped and are trying to get a slew of calls assigned in a hurry, but you're right that they're just making it take longer. If they focus on being clear and communicating well, they'll get done faster. Also, one of my pet peeves is people rattling off their phone number so fast that you can hardly register what they're saying, let alone write it down.
A tiny little bit of extra effort and focus can make a huge difference. Besides, with so much of today's communications happening via cell phone - and while on the move - sometimes the reception leaves much to be desired and it can be practically impossible to understand them.
