My Post #402493~No Explanations

Im not sure who linked this thread, but I am going to ask the administrators to remove it. I understand why it was linked, but the link makes it look like Im doing a negative posting on Global Notary and I am not. Especially because I am vague in my post, not referring to any one Signing Service. There are plenty of other threads that are linked referring to this very same incident so I think the link from the thread I started can be removed.

How'd that happen? You didn't name any particular ss.

Thats why Im asking that the link be removed. I checked and I cant remove the link myself so hopefully the administration will take care of it. Global Notary is mentioned further on down in the thread which is why I think it was linked by someone.

The same incident is linked 3 times for Global Notary......

I don't blame you - I would not want to be associated with someone elses rant unless it was a shared rant. That doesn't appear to be the case here.

Morning Lisa...you can go to "forum discussion" after you select the named SS and it will show you all the linked post.

I don't know if the person's post is the person who linked it but at least you'll know the source.

It doesn't seem right to me that just any "viewer" would be able to link someone else's post but maybe I'm incorrect.

I have seen post by other people stating "I linked it for you". If that's the case then I guess the person doing the linking would have to remove it....I'm almost certain Harry's staff can.

Yes, we can - and I hope they don't change that because many people don't bother to link - they either "don't know how" or they just can't be bothered. Many of us take the time to be sure posts are linked to companies so there's continued updating to SC via the posts.. I, for one, do take care to be sure I'm linking the correct company and if I have any doubt or can't see the company I either post and ask the OP to link or I contact the original poster and ask for more company info to link properly.

This linking was a mistake and, from reading the forum, I think I know who did it - I'm sure it will be recitified soon.

I didn't link that post - I did, however, link Hugh's in which he specifically named the company. And yes, only the "linker" can "unlink" (besides Admin).

wait a minute!

I would always asked the person if they wouldn't mind if I linked.

Not everyone is familiar with why the linking ability is there or it's intent. Obviously the OP would have NOT wanted to do that. IMO

I for one do not want anyone to link my post for me, I'll do it myself if that's what I want to do.

And as I said, many don't know how or can't be bothered - so an obvious company, well identified, I'll go ahead and link as long as I can "see" the company in SC - IMO we don't need permission to do that.

"I for one do not want anyone to link my post for me, I'll do it myself if that's what I want to do."

Well, I guess we're all on notice now, huh? I would respectfully ask that you make sure you link all your company posts, because IMO to not do so is basically failing the system that Harry, Admin and the rest of the membership have worked so hard to establish.

Re: wait a minute!

I think the protocol for the linking should remain the way it is.....it works just fine for the most part. This just happened to be a fluke and I dont even think the person that did it should be flamed either. When it comes to non payment and abuse such as we witnessed for this closer, things tend to get, lets just say, out of whack......

Re: wait a minute!

If you are instructing ALL members to do so, I'm with you all and will abide.

If you are specifically targeting me......I'm sure you know my thoughts on that and you can link my post until your enter key falls off. No arguments ever coming from me.

Whew!!

I used to feel terrible that I have NO tech savvyness.......I have no clue how to link posts - and I'm glad. Heeeheeeheee!!!! They say if you want to know about computers, ask your kids!! That's exactly what I do, LOL! My oldest son is the computer wiz/genius of the family. In fact, he custom built all of our computers - from scratch. He's built computers from scratch since he was 16. He's now 21.
