Re: see seven post down

orange search brings up a deleted post and a discussion about the forum rules, nothing about the topic the OP was inquiring about.

so it really doesn't do any good to direct a question to the orange search or seven post down...

thanks for the help..

Re: see seven post down

Cody, Let's see,...about " discussion about forum rules". You can ALWAYS ask what the post is about. I am on the forum daily so it was easy for me to know. Also, clicking on any post in the "deleted" post would give you an idea of what it was about.

Wouldn't it had been easier if you had just asked your question instead of admonishing someone trying to provide direction for an inquiry?

Re: see seven post down

you didn't give direction that was beneficial...admonishment well deserved...

i specifically did as you and the orange button poster suggested....guess what....nothing in regards to a company named "notary pool" was found....

Are you just stubborn?

Go down 7 posts. Read. Yes, the first post is deleted. All the other replies are not. Can you MAYBE figure out the topic from reading those other posts if you really really try?

Here was my post: I don't like anyone who harvests my email and spams me, and I don't like anyone who comes on this board and pretends to be a notary recommending a site that they found only to find that it's really the owner of the site recommending his own site (which he did last week).

Hmmm. Wonder who I was talking about.

Or Jojo's post: It is a site that notaries pay money to be listed so ss and tc can find them. It is a NEW competitor to Notary Rotary.

Getting it yet? C-O-M-P-E-T-I-T-O-R. No talkie talkie on Not Rot.

Looks like you didn't look 7 posts down, Cody!

"so it really doesn't do any good to direct a question to...seven post down..."

Shame on you for getting so feisty when you clearly are not speaking from a fully informed place.

Before getting all haughty, how about getting all the information to make an informed post.

I'm sure Saul Leibowitz will vouch for that...lol...sorry Saul.

Re: Looks like you didn't look 7 posts down, Cody!

ah, to the contrary....i read thru the "7 posts down" and found nothing regarding the "notary pool"..

orange search showed some stuff about people "jumping back into the notary pool", but nothing about such company...

As notarysigner declared "I am on the forum daily", but many of us aren't....so when a post asks about something and then is instantly sent to the orange search button, or an irrevlevant thread on the first page you have to wonder...

finally, if "fully informed" means i need to read all the posts everyday, then i guess my apologies are in order and the "on the forum daily" folks can continue their dominance....

Cody, I apologize if that came off as offensive, but

when "7 posts down" was referred to in this OP, it would naturally have referred to the topic in question. I mean just because it didn't actually SAY the name, it would almost stand to reason.

Hence my message bringing to your attention the tone of voice and attitude that was exuding from your post.

I must admit, it probably gets frustrating reading long timers (some may say) snippy responses and you just wanna give it back to them, but it also gets frustrating to the long timers to have to address a topic that was literally just referred to...especially one as taboo as that one.

Those who are very protective of Harry and NotRot (with GOOOOD reason) are not going to be too happy and many get very impatient about discussing a topic that is just not acceptable here.

Though I understand your frustration, please try and understand others' too.

Diva--
I can take the blows when they are deserved and even when they are not.
Some posts directed at me or others seem mean-spirited in the last few days; we seem to be losing PAW's spirit.
Keep posting--I enjoy reading what you are writing.

This was thoroughly discussed yesterday, and the prevailing sentiment was "Okay, everybody out of the pool."
