It's going to take a while if you're truly new to the business - you'll need to work your way down the list of companies in Signing Central, study each one with all ratings, and sign up with the ones you want to be associated with.

You don't say what kind of "work" you're looking for, but IMO faxing your info to other notaries is fruitless - for the most part other notaries are not going to hire you - they're going to do the job themselves.

Are you really new? What is your experience? I ask because in your profile you state "We
are Edoc Proficient and provide fast, efficient, and professional loan signing and notary services" ... and who is "we"??

I will say this - if you are truly "new" - make sure you know your notary laws cold before you venture into loan signings - or before you venture into any notary business for that matter. And read here....and read and read and read...and market, market, market..

Good Luck

Interesting website - you're not an independent notary

breaking into the market - you're a fledgeling Signing Service...

And yet another one….No experience…No capital…No contacts…. And not a clue.
Let’s all start a SS and get rich quick.

Somebody is confused here. Looks like OP to me.

I can't figure out from the website where he's either coming from or going to.
Looks to be all over the board and hoping something gels.

Cant blame a guy for trying But I wish him luck getting the

fees he has listed on his website!

Kathy, I think (and it's just my interpretation)

that the fees are those he charges title companies for their loan business - not signing fees by a notary..

My question - is this advertising??

Re: Kathy, I think (and it's just my interpretation)

Not really advertising because you have to click on the name to get to the website from his profile.

But he's hawking his SS - not himself as a notary

...and other companies have had their posts deleted for announcing they're looking for notaries or offering work...that's why I wondered...

I have no problem with offers of work here...I DO have a problem with deceitful people...

Re: But he's hawking his SS - not himself as a notary

I believe if you look closely at the website, there's nowhere where it says "notary registration" or any indication that we are signing local notaries, although that is part of the goal for the future.

Joe I suggest you call all the people you took a class with, and all the newly commissioned notaries and NSA hopefuls that just finished the NNA certification classes. Maybe you will get some of them to work for you. Calling local Title Companies and telling them that you’ve never seen a loan package, but intend to HIRE only experienced NSA’s probably won’t work very well. I suggest you call companies like Nations Direct, and offer to take their excess or late ones they can’t fill. You will need to lower your prices to less that $50 to entice anyone to send you work, and will need to get notaries that will work for less. Not too hard just promise them more, and then pay less for some contrived reason. Remember you can get all the notaries that work for you to work for free in front and trust you to pay them someday. You will need to be paid when the loan finds, and then you can use that money to pay yourself, and your overhead. You should be able to put off paying the notaries for at least three months, especially if you make your invoicing really complicated like… “We pay at the first of the month of the month following the month we receive your invoice. Invoices will only be processed if we receive them during the first three days of the month following the month of the actual signing. You must fax these invoices between 9 AM and 5 PM Monday through Friday. If received at any other time your invoice will need to be resubmitted.” Something like that. Then you can use the money you get from signings you get in the current month to pay those that did the signings months ago, whose money you have already spent. It’s called creative cash flow management. You may want to start a bank account in the Philippines just in case this doesn’t work out? And try and pay the notaries close to you first, the out-of-state ones are not much of a worry. Good luck..I’m sure we’ll seeing posts about you here and on other boards soon.

I must have missed something

As far as I can tell, there is nothing in the original post or anything on the website that indicates this fellow is planning to operate a signing service. That may be his ultimate goal, but unless I overlooked something, that's not evident from what I've seen in a cursory runthrough.

I am extremely curious about what a "bad wet soon" is.

Typo - supposed to be "pad" wet soon

And for a new notary this is quite an extensive website - so no, this is not just single notary Independent Contractor oriented...also

Goals:
"Our goals are:
...
* to create a network of professional mobile notary and loan signing agents with integrity, vision, and drive to provide the best services to our clients
* to develop a network of loyal clients requiring mobile notary and loan signing services as well as our other product lines. "

Just the whole tenor of the website says "SS" IMO..and this is *ONLY* "IMO"

Did anyone find anything that says what UCFC stands for?

Gotta agree -- that reeks of SS. I missed it.

I kind of liked the original "bad wet soon." Since the poster apparently is Filipino -- he speaks Tagalog -- I thought perhaps that was a spicy Pacific Islander dish, maybe with coconut juice and a tasty mollusk.

I know he meant "pad" - he's posted elsewhere.

Oh, OK

Still, I've never heard of a notary stamp that used an ink pad. They're all pre-inked or self-inking or whatever. In CA, only approved vendors can issue notary stamps (we just can't go have one made at Staples) and I've never seen an old-fashioned one like that.

Re: Oh, OK

One could argue that it is dry until it is used, then it becomes wet.

I also did not get the impression that he is a SS. I felt he was pitching his target audience from the "editorial we" standpoint with light puffing. I see that he offers more than just signing agent services and would guess from the video that that is his ultimate direction, and he will be stamping along the way.

But, I have been known to be wrong and could be wrong again.

How did you decided to get into business? Did you

do any research and marketing analysis? Maybe created a business plan and/or model? Try using the orange search button to get a feel of the business, as it will field most of your initial questions. Best wishes.
