Safir Signing/Genuine Title
Ok accepted the assignment while I was on the road driving. So I couldnt check notrot till I got home. However I didnt hear the company name too well. Matter of fact I dont think they mentioned it. Just the schedulers name. SO I waited till the email came with confirmation. Soon as I got it I ran here to notrot. Ok nothing positive. So I sent and email back saying I found negative information about their company and either they pay upfront or I'll have to decline the signing. Well The guy pays me through paypal my quoted fee for edocs. Then I check docs and notice it has esign instructions. So I email back noting they did not inform it was an esign. Well the guy states that not to worry about it because its already been taken care of.
So I get to the signing, borrower calls loan officer about some numbers issue and then the loan officer starts talking about the esign stuff and ask if it was done. I tell him no, because I was told not to do it, its already been done. So loan officer calls title and the guy that answers says he doesnt know any Safir signing nor any of the people at the company and that the esign has not been done and needs to be done. So I call Safir, no answer, I email them and leave messages but continue with the esign. I have yet to hear back from Safir. So I printed out the email between Safir and I, telling me not to worry about the esign, and included in the package to Title so that it doesnt reflect bad on my reputation.

Typical of Safir
I would not work for that company if they hand delivered $500 prior to closing. I learned that the hard way and it sounds like you did too. Good luck.

I do work for them often, sometimes around 4 signings per month. They are sometimes slow to pay but they will pay. The Safir guy that you are refering to his name is Kosty and for a long time I did not think that this guy even exsisted but he does. I have spoken to him on a number of times. If you accept signing you will have to sometimes call to get payment but so far they have paid me but he is very slow in doing so.

I would never work with them no matter what they
"said" they would pay, or even if they paid up front via PayPal. Why notaries continue to accept work from them and help to keep them in business is beyond me.

Same boat here. 2 closings from months ago due, can't get anyone there to respond to invoices, emails or voice mails.
Have any of you been in contact with the Title Companies that were handling the closings you are due for? And has anyone contacted the Better Business Bureau to report them?? I have sent one last email to Genuine today asking for a response of any kind, and if I do not hear back, I will be pulling the closing doc's from the closings I've done that are past due, and contacting the Title Companies that hired them. I will also be filing a complaint with the BBB. Unfortunately if we all just come on here and complain, nothing will be done about getting them shut down.

Thank God I did not take a closing from these people today when they called me. I told them about their reputation on Notary Rotary and told them that I do not work for free. Thank you everyone for letting us know about this company. Why on earth is anyone even taking closings from this dead beat company?
