Some things never change...
I went on the coffee site and was checking out the board of companies, which incidentally is child's play compared to SC, and noticed that some companies, in particular the "FAST closing" one, has very recent payment issues (like THAT comes as a surprise.) The companies are allowed to explain or comment back.
What I find especially comical is that there are a number of responses from the company stating that "the chk was cut but must have gotten lost in the mail. Another will be sent right out." LMAO I find it hysterical, because that is a TYPICAL response. It's been told to...well, is there anyone it's NOT been told to? lol
What I find disheartening though is that there is one victim who claims to have done over 7,000 closings per the NotRot profile, who had MULTIPLE outstanding invoices from 6 months or so ago...and this was just last month!!! Can you please tell me WHY??????? I might add, it's not the only deadbeat company that this "victim" is owed money from!!!
If you are on NotRot, with SC so easily available, why in G*D's name would someone WORK for companies that are CLEARLY deadbeat (and might I add, SURPRISE, lowball) companies?
Please don't try to figure out who the numb nut is (I'm sorrrrry, I just HAD to...I hate calling people names, but it's so hard not to). Let the poor "victim" wallow in their insanity (doing the same thing over and over expecting different results.) Play on the railroad tracks long enough and eventually you'll get hit. It's hard to feel bad for someone when there are warning signs all over the place.
Had to rant. It's just pitiful.

Should be noted that the list of companies over there
is not a listing of companies akin to what we have here - that 's not a "company board" - it's a "Complaint Board" - a place where notaries can lodge complaints against a company and yes, the company can respond. It has worked for many to get them paid - no company likes bad press and that's what that "board" is...it helps keep those people who don't frequent NotRot sort of "in the loop" as to bad companies. I like it.
I so agree with the rest of your post, though..
