Splitting docs.
I have just received a closing assignment where they want me to split the docs and send some to the lender and some to escrow. The Instructions are totally confusing. Has anyone else experienced this?

Yes. Are you not understanding the instructions?
This is not common, but is done for certain companies.

I can do it, but I can't believe how complicated they made the instructions. It's like they want you to screw it up.

It's been years since I've had split package instructions, but I seem to remember that I had to make copies of the DOT/mortgage and some other screwy stuff.

Re: Yes. Are you not understanding the instructions?
I remember having to print three sets of docs, one for the borrower, one for the lender and one for the title company! That was for Industry Partners Title.

Re: Yes. Are you not understanding the instructions?
Basically they are sending the financials one place; everything else to a dead zone. Maybe that will put it in perspective and make it easier to sort.

I'd charge them a secretarial (administrative) fee. I'm hired to get the docs SIGNED.....hence the name "SIGNING agent". Split SIGNING? Ok. Split docs to send here, there, and everywhere? NO - I'm not paid to do THEIR job. JMHO

Used to do a whole bunch of those for Chase. They were small, easy packages, so - after the first couple or so, once I had it down - it was no big deal.
