Thanks NR! The Scheduling Desk dba My Notary Connection
I was called yesterday from The Scheduling Desk. I took a chance accepting, since I did not have access to NR at that moment. After receiving their confirmation, I realized they were a dba of My Notary Connection. :-( This AM I called and emailed them to cancel my assignment. I was told they had some bad situations corrected recently in their admin./staff and they would be happy to pay me through Paypal, if I would do the job. I will update on NR when I see the money. Thanks again, NR!! I love you, and all my fellow notaries helping to keep me a happy camper!

Question for those that accept paypal
Do you add the paypal transaction fee to your fee, or do you suck it up? Why should you incur the paypal expense just to get paid?

Re: Question for those that accept paypal
Wow. That's a good question. This is my first time accepting payment through Paypal. I'll have to look into the fees charged. In the future I would want to add the fee on to any payment I accept, unless it is minimal. It will save me a trip to the bank $$.

Re: Question for those that accept paypal
As far as I know there is a $3.00 fee if they use a credit card to make the payment. If they have a Paypal account to draw from there is no fee. I've had both situations. In the case of the former, the SS added the fee without me asking.

to avoid the transaction fee
have then select gift option. That avoids the transaction fee or just tell them to include it. But honestly the paypal fee is minimal and I can chuck it up to business expense. Not a big deal.

Re: to avoid the transaction fee
$3.00 on a $100.00 job is 3%!

Re: to avoid the transaction fee
Thanks to all of you for the suggestions and feedback. After doing my research of my Paypal account, I see that a fee is avoidable if set up accordingly. Thanks again and keep up the good work. :-)

Re: to avoid the transaction fee
Which is competetive with what credit card companies charge for low volume users... I have collected thru PayPal before and I like it.
